Friends since middle school, they gained nationwide attention when their Tiny Desk Contest submission was named on NPR’s critic’s list. With a willingness to flow through style, they’ve created a sound that’s unique, refreshing, and simultaneously familiar on their full-length debut, Thoughts of Love. Inspired by legends like Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as contemporaries in the Indie music genre, writer and frontwoman Lily Ophelia Ewing began penning songs at an early age. She’s accompanied by her longtime friends and bandmates: Jackson Foster on keys and trumpet, John Mark Reed on drums, Happy Haugen on bass, and Cara Tilghman providing vocal harmonies.
