CL Critic Hal Horowitz Recommends: Hoge has been a constant, if somewhat under-the-radar, presence on the folk/heartland rock landscape since the late ’90s, cranking out about a dozen consistently solid albums with Petty/Springsteen undercurrents. The recent Wings on My Shoes is as tough as any of them and his energetic live shows are legendary.
