Jeff Crompton was born in Atlantain 1958. For 30 years, beginning in1982, he taught public school bandin the Atlanta area. During thatperiod, he played with a variety ofbands and musicians, includingpianist/composer Michael J. Smith, Darryl Rhoades, and The BazookaAnts, a free jazz/funk trio.
