CL Critic Joshua Robinson Recommends: Birthday Bash may not be billed as part of the same festival season that spawns weekend-long music events like Shaky Knees, ONE Musicfest, and Music Midtown, but there’s no denying it’s continued significance in Atlanta. For the 2023 edition of Birthday Bash, hip-hop fanatics can expect a homegrown headliner in the form of 21 Savage, sensational 2022 breakout star GloRilla, and a bevy of up-and-coming acts, including Lola Brooke, Baby Drill, Gloss Up, and more. While there are a limited number of Atlanta-bred acts on the bill, 21 Savage’s headlining set is billed as “21 Savage & Friends,” so hopefully, the Her Loss artist does what needs to be done and brings out an impressive selection of local artists. — JR

[Atlanta, GA– March 17, 2023] Atlanta's premier Hip Hop station, HOT 107.9, announced the first wave of artists for the most highly anticipated music event of the summer, Birthday Bash ATL 2023, June 17^th at the award-winning State Farm Arena.

Fresh off his #1 U.S. Billboard 200 chart collaborative album with Drake entitled "Her Loss", and performances at the Grammys and NBA All-Star weekend; Atlanta's own 21 Savage will be headlining Birthday Bash ATL 2023.

Hitting the stage on June 17^th is Memphis' own GloRilla. She rose to prominence after releasing her 2022 song "F.N.F.", which was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65^thAnnual Grammy Awards. Her single "Tomorrow 2", reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100.
