Alan Avery Summer Exhibit (tuesdays)

ALAN AVERY ART COMPANY opens an incredible new exhibition April 4, entitled Wood and Water, featuring American Master Wood Turner, Anatoly Tsris and veteran Atlanta painter, Peter Polites.

Anatoly Tsris has been with the gallery almost 30 years and has emerged as a modern master of wood turning. His brash introduction to the gallery, insistently presenting a Polaroid picture of his intricate carvings to Mr Avery and guest collector Dorothy Fuqua, earned sales almost immediately the monumental wood turnings came through the door. Anatoly’s works can now be found in many Private, Corporate and Institutional collections across the United States.

Peter Polites is new to the gallery, but has been painting for almost 50 years. He was a lead artist with Ann Jacob Gallery, one of the top galleries at the time Mr Avery entered the art business. The gallerist always admired Peter’s technique of painting simple beach scenes on elaborate gold leaf surfaces and after extensive research, invited Mr.Polites to sign and allow for a new generation of beach lovers to discover.

The Exhibition will open on April 4, 2025 and continue through July 31st, 2025.

Gallery hours are Tuesday -Saturday 10 am- 5 pm and by appointment.
