Khruangbin at Fox Theatre

CRITIC’S PICK: This unusual three-night stand starts at the Fox Theater for two nights, ending with one gig at the far less spacious Eastern. Regardless, this Texas trio’s often hypnotic, generally laid-back sound translates surprisingly well to a larger stage. Their show is consistently engaging as exemplified by a clutch of live albums released last year, most inviting guest vocalists and hip-hop artists to magnify their sound. Since they typically play larger venues like The Fox, perhaps the threesome will delivery some surprises on the final show in front of a smaller audience.
