Aaron Lewis & the Stateliners, The Roxy—There may be more radical changes in musical direction than Lewis, frontman for angsty metal rockers Staind, shifting to a successful career as an indie folk/country artist, but there aren’t many. He’ll be in full meditative mode for this show, picking and choosing songs from his acoustic catalog, now six albums thick, and maybe throwing in a rearranged Staind hit or two. He will surely feature new songs from The Hill on this tour titled American As it Gets. The disc appeared about a year ago and cemented his status as a more than credible singer/songwriter. — Hal Horowitz
