Internationally renowned Finnish “Django jazz” guitarist Olli Soikkeli returns to Atlanta with his trio. The last time I saw Soikkeli (at Waller’s) he was amazing. This is a guy who can keep up with the Tommy Emmanuels and Bucky Pizzarellis of the world.
This time around, Soikkeli is playing at the Tzadik Performing Arts Center in Sandy Springs on a special double-bill featuring an Atlanta-based quartet of superbly talented gypsy jazz players: Marla Freeny (Bonaventure Quartet), Matt Mundy (Aquarium Rescue Unit), Charles Williams (Bonaventure Quartet) and Scott Glazer (Mojo Dojo).

Olli Soikkeli returns with his trio, with Brad Brose. Olli has played legendary venues such as Town Hall, Herbst Theatre, Birdland Jazz Club, Blue Note, Iridium and the Lincoln Center.
