“Secrets of Great Salt Lake,” opening Nov. 8, tells the powerful story of how water connects all life on Earth. Audiences will journey back to when mammoths, camels and saber-toothed cats roamed the ancient shores of Lake Bonneville and witness its transformation into Great Salt Lake, caused by one of the largest floods in history. From its headwaters in the Rockies where mountain lions raise their cubs, to wildlife refuges filled with millions of birds the journey of Great Salt Lake influences land and life in many fascinating and unexpected ways. The film also highlights the scientists, Indigenous leaders, farmers and youth working together to protect vital watershed for future generations.
