UNSUNG HEROES OF THE BIG SCREEN: CELEBRATING THE CREW THAT MAKES IT HAPPEN, 12 pm (RSVP here)

Shining a spotlight on the vital crew members who often work behind the scenes, this panel celebrates the team that is rarely seen, but are essential to bringing any film to life. From gaffers and sound recordists to production designers, composers, and first assistant directors — those who keep the shoot on schedule and organized — these are the creatives whose work shapes the emotional and logistical core of every project. This conversation celebrates their contributions, unpacks their processes, and gives them the flowers they deserve.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS

Clutter, 3 pm
Jean has a no nonsense attitude to both her cleaning job and her affluent clientele. But faced with the aftermath of a grieving drag queen’s night of hedonism, she is forced to confront the pain of her own loss, and the repercussions of a deep rooted prejudice. Clutter examines how loss affects us all, whether gay, straight , queer or trans, and how we find the strength to move forward.

The Cure, 3 pm

When August finds shelter in an abandoned ranch home, he starts to go down memory lane of what his Scientist mother did to him. Do you attack your morals to save humanity?

A Synonym For Art: Andriniki, 3pm

Andriniki Mattis reflects on the complexities of their identity and how they’ve navigated a world where they didn’t always fit in. Through their journey of gender exploration, Andriniki views their tattoos as markers of their path to wholeness and symbols of their emerging self. For them, tattoos become a unifying thread, tying together the evolving story of their body, identity, and sacred connection to self.

Spit Me Out, 3 pm

On her way out of town for good, Dina—a bubblegum-chewin’ fast-talkin’ queer grifter—makes a surprise pit stop to convince her beloved Bev to escape “the pious throttle of their small town church” (Dina’s words). But Bev—the assistant pastor with quiet charm and dry wit—isn’t so sure about leaving everything behind. Amidst escalating scrutiny from the zealous congregation, the couple wrestles with their uncertain future as they discover that even as we brokenly rip one another to shreds, each of us is aching to know love, forgiveness… and goddammit, a little bit of grace.

Cicada, 3pm

Set in the heart of a declining ’90s rave culture, Cicada follows Gallup, Jack and Tony as they embark on a tumultuous journey of self-discovery through the pulsating lights and rhythmic beats of a fading utopia.

Una Notte, 3pm

Set across one summer evening, a young Italian man has a fleeting encounter with a stranger in the English countryside. After a spontaneous meeting, two young men wander through a quiet village and find an unexpected connection. A film about brief encounters, queer coming-of-age, and the vulnerability you can have with someone you may never see again.
