Each event features a curated selection of locally made short films across genres—followed by live filmmaker commentary, where directors discuss their process, challenges, and inspiration. Stick around for the post-screening happy hour mixer to network with filmmakers!

As the series grows, submissions are now open for 2026, inviting filmmakers across the greater Atlanta area to submit shorts, documentaries, or experimental work for future events.

Founded by Atlanta Rocco Shapiro, Reel Talk transforms the historic Tara Theatre into a hub for cinematic collaboration and conversation.
