Join Dance Canvas for a FREE Dance workshop with featured Choreographer, KHILA, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 5 P.M. 
 
Get ready to move with Aquilah “Khila” Ohemeng, a powerhouse choreographer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose style fuses hip hop’s rhythmic power with the fluid expressiveness of contemporary movement. From receiving her dance education at Spelman College and UCLA to teaching dance techniques across the country, KHILA continues to help aspiring creatives foster their craft through thoughtful mentorship and personalized instruction. KHILA's work has been featured and commissioned within spaces such as Colby College’s Museum of Art, Spelman College’s Forty Years of Black Feminist Fire celebration, UCLA’s 2022 International New Wight Biennial, among many others. 
 
Her class is an energetic experience that invites everyone—dancers and non-dancers alike—to connect with rhythm, culture, and creativity.
