This interactive session explores the history of punch cards, from their origins in the Jacquard Loom to Herman Hollerith’s groundbreaking work for the 1890 census, and their eventual role in data processing, academia, and even matchmaking at the University of Iowa in 1963.Guests will learn how punch cards shaped modern technology and will have the opportunity to punch their own souvenir card to take home.
