Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, Symphony Hall - This pairing of two of the hottest names in indie roots singer/songwriter rock is a great way to experience their introspective, often moving songs on a larger stage than either could have attracted by themselves. Katie Crutchfield, aka Waxahatchee, features music from Tiger's Blood 2024, which happens to include a duet with opener Lenderman, also in her band, on the lovely, laconic "Right Back to It." Ashville's Lenderman brings twisted guitars and a homespun, sensitive voice to his otherwise slightly off-kilter, bluesy, meditative music on the critically acclaimed Manning Fireworks 2024. It's a terrific combination of similarly-styled Americana artists and a sure sell out. - Hal Horowitz
