Todd Rundgren at Buckhead Theatre
CRITIC'S PICK:
Mon. June 22
Todd Rundgren, Buckhead Theatre - Iconic singer/songwriter/producer Rundgren's most recent album was four years ago. But with a catalog as thick, eclectic, and impressive as his, one that began in 1968, the problem for him is, what gets excluded in a typical two-hour show. He references that quandary calling this tour "Damned if I Do," with recent sets including tracks ranging from his earliest work with Nazz ("Hello, It's Me"), a few obscurities from Utopia and even a recent cover of The Call's 1983 hit "The Walls Came Down." At 77 his voice remains youthful and he always has a top-notch band. So even if he doesn't play some of his more recognizable hits, it's always a cool experience. - Hal Horowitz
