Dance Canvas Choreographer Career Development Initiative

Dance Canvas welcomes choreographers to apply to our signature program, the 2026-27 Choreographer Career Development Initiative. This season, we are seeking proposals to respond to the prompt: NOW! "What feels relevant, urgent, immediate, or impossible to ignore right now?"

Dance Canvas will select up to 10 choreographers to be part of the CCDI. All selected Dance Canvas choreographers will create, incubate, receive feedback, and present their choreography to Atlanta audiences. Choreographers will also participate in workshops, roundtable discussions, and seminars to develop their careers and build professional networks. The program culminates in a performance series at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta, GA on March 19 and 20th, 2027!
