Vanna Black: Grace for Ebb Solo Exhibition, Cat Eye Creative — “My work considers the mental aptitude for one’s own intrapersonal development to push viewers in a more positive motion regarding self-worth,” says Atlanta native Vanna Black. An illustrator, painter, and muralist, Black bridges the gap between fine art and graphic design in her paintings, which merge African patterns with classic Japanese aesthetics. “My inspiration comes from various objects that have been compounded into odd shapes (which) then inspire the landscapes and floral compositions I paint.” — Kevin C.
