Sat., Sep 19 - A rare concert at Sycamore Place Gallery in Decatur (operated by Sylvia Cross of Sylvia’s Atomic Cafe fame) this Saturday features Grady Cousins & THUMP. Grady (no one calls him Cousins) will be performing solo works that rely on guitar picking, poetry reading, movement making and storytelling.
THUMP is an Atlanta-based percussion collective of varying configurations with an ancient-to-the-future repertoire. Past members of THUMP include Chris Gravely, Mark Little, Thomas Philpot and Caleb Herron. Part of the fun with THUMP is finding out who shows up and what instruments they bring. – Doug DeLoach
