Free Hat: 9:30pm
Bio:
Free Hat is a Progressive Jamtronica project formed in 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia that has been melting faces ever since. Having released a 4-song EP in 2021 and live albums in 2019 and 2025, Free Hat now approaches the release of the band’s first full-length studio album on October 23rd 2026. Featuring the talents of Jonathan Zalzman on guitar, Andrew Rowland on bass, TJ Moore on drums, Mark Vickers on keys/synths, and Jay T Cropper on percussion, the band brings together aspects of Progressive Rock, Funk, Jam, Disco, and Shred Guitar to create a unique cocktail of a musical journey. The new album showcases the growth of the band as individual musicians and as a unit as they explore through spacey synth soundscapes, hard funk grooves, silky-smooth melodies, and even throat-punching heaviness, all tied together with exploratory improvisational passages. Free Hat has spent years honing their musical chops and live presence playing shows throughout the Atlanta area and consistently blow away audiences with their musical connection and commitment to sharp technicality.
