Sandra Senn is an Atlanta-based drummer and percussionist known for her dynamic style, versatility across genres and commitment to community-driven music. A self-taught musician who began performing in local blues jams in 2006, Senn has gone on to anchor multiple bands, including Blue Velvet Atlanta, the Roger Hurricane Wilson Trio, and Bill Sheffield’s Band du Jour. As founder and drummer of the all-women ensemble Blue Velvet Atlanta, she brings a rock-influenced drive to the group’s blues, R&B and soul-heavy performances, while also fostering a spirit of mutual support and empowerment on and off the stage. Her collaborative presence is felt not only in the bands she drums for, but also in her longtime creative and personal partnership with blues veteran Bill Sheffield.
