MINIMA

MINIMA is the project of Atlanta dj and musician Tony Chackal which combines post-punk, garage rock, and synth wave in a caustic, noir register. The debut album We Were Never Modern (2022) explores themes of place, identity, technology, and overcoming. A cover of Joy Division’s Isolation and a live version of The Fascist (Within) were released in 2023, and the single, Casino World, a biting southwestern critique of capitalism, followed in 2024.
