Donna The Buffalo
Donna the Buffalo is a roots-driven, six-piece band from Ithica, New York, known for blending folk rock with reggae, zydeco, Cajun, country, and more to create a sound that is both familiar and uniquely their own. Formed over 30 years ago after a misheard band name suggestion, they have built a dedicated following known as The Herd. Donna the Buffalo performs original songs and covers, and has been a key force behind festivals like the Finger Lakes and Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festivals. The band has also collaborated with artists such as Jim Lauderdale, Bela Fleck, and Amy Helm, solidifying their place in the American folk and roots music community.
