Alec James & the Blues Caravan

Alec James is a soulful blues guitarist rooted in the traditions of BB, Albert, and Freddie King, blended with jazz influences from Pat Martino and Kenny Burrell. After honing his craft in the blues scenes of Connecticut and St. Louis, he relocated to Atlanta a decade ago, where he’s been a regular fixture in local clubs. His band, Blues Caravan—featuring powerhouse vocalist Rachel Johnson—delivers a dynamic mix of Chicago blues, classic soul, and jazz. Their debut EP Samsara, released in 2024, showcases deep grooves, original instrumentals, and hard-hitting blues cuts.
