Otherwise, this is a marvelous ride that takes you through bucolic south Cobb across Paulding County and deep into Polk County, if you can pedal that far. And because it’s built on the old Seaboard Railway line, there are few street crossings and several breath-taking spans high above creeks and roadways. In an ambitious undertaking, the nonprofit PATH Foundation is currently finishing up this 57-mile trail that will eventually go from Cobb County to Anniston, Ala., tracing the path of the old Silver Comet rail line.
