    El Myr
I often buy El Myr's burritos two at a time because I know I'll want another the following day. The place has had regulars since day one. People simply cannot stop eating here. Wash it all down with a cold Grizz and celebrate this treasure of a burrito bar.

Though some might still say there is no such thing as a good burrito in Atlanta, others get on I-85 and head south to MATILDA BEAN. The decor is bright and lively, and service is fast and friendly. Stuffed with chicken and pork or steak, the Tony Montana burrito is many a downtown worker’s favorite little friend. Vegetarians certainly aren’t left out. The enormous Mean Green burrito is hefty with grilled onions, peppers, rice, sour cream, spinach and salsa. less...

The popular Tony Montana burrito crammed with seared steak, peppers, rice and refried beans is a pleasurable, never-ending Tex-Mex marathon. Tortillas are offered plain, jalape̱o-spiked or made with spinach. This cheery East Point joint is constantly packed with return diners whom owners Joe and Glenys Hernandez know by name. We can't yet concede to give this award to anyone other than the now-defunct TORTILLAS, a staple of Atlanta's dining scene for nearly 20 years and the first restaurant to give our city a taste of California-style burritos. The grungy look of the place never stopped fans from all walks of life from lining up for their favorite burrito or quesadilla. Our personal fave was the shrimp with guacamole (we could write a long lament alone about their spicy, chunky guac) and green sauce - though whether the red beans or the pintos were better was always a matter of debate. Sigh. Ponce just isn't the same without it. "Formerly located at 774 Ponce de Leon Ave." less...
