Oy vey! What’s a Jew gotta do to get a good kosher bite to eat in Atlanta? Go to the QUALITY KOSHER EMPORIUM, where the selection is large and the options are plentiful. It serves as a supermarket, bakery and deli, specializing in glatt-kosher meats under the supervision of the Atlanta Kashruth Commission (that means really kosher). There you can find anything from challah and bagels to gefilte fish and chicken so good even your bubbie would shep nachus.

Kosher? Better call a caterer in Atlanta. Ever since the regulatory folks withdrew the kosher designation from any restaurant operating on Saturday, we’ve had very few venues that can call themselves kosher. Yes, there’s kosher Chinese and kosher pizza in the Toco Hills area, but the only full-service kosher restaurant is BROADWAY CAFE. And it’s kind of a strange amalgam, too. The menu is a blend of typical vegetarian cuisine, fish dishes and Jewish classics like matzoh ball soup and knishes. “2168 Briarcliff Road, 404-329-0888.”
