<!———————EndFragment———————>Mothers is streaming their upcoming debut record, When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired, via NPR. The Athens-based group has been receiving tons of press lately, and they’ll be at the EARL on Sat., March 5, with Warehouse and Red Sea.

Eureka California is streaming a track from their upcoming record, Versus (3/25, via HHBTM). Check out “Eureka California’s Night In.”
Nomen Novum is streaming a new track, “Yellow Shadow,” from the group’s upcoming record, ATLANTVM (3/25, via Deer Bear Wolf). Their record release show is at the 529 on Sat., Mar. 26.
Eskimeaux is streaming a new track from her upcoming record, Year of the Rabbit (out April 15, via Double Double Whammy). No comment on the music, but sick Swans shirt, yo! She’ll be at the Masquerade on Wed., April 6, with Frankie Cosmos and Anna McClellan.
The upcoming Animal Collective album, Painting With, the group’s first new batch of material since 2013’s Monkey Been to Burn Town EP, is out today (Fri., Feb. 19) via Domino. In case you haven’t torrented it already, they’re streaming one more new track from the record, “Golden Gal.” The group performs at The Buckhead Theatre on Sat., May 7 with Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and it’s not sold out yet.
The New York Times just posted a cool story about a new trend in “experimental” music festivals, the hallmark being Big Ears in Knoxville, Tenn. If you can’t make it to that fest, several bands on the lineup will be playing in or around Atlanta in the coming months — namely, Faust and Sunn O))).
Local band Pony League just uploaded a video of them playing a few songs inside a gondola at Skyview Atlanta! Super cool.
