B.o.B dives off the edge with 'E.A.R.T.H.' mixtape
B.o.B's Earth Day celebrates the environmental holiday with a tin foil party hat, new music
Atlanta's favorite conspiracy theorist rapper is back with new music. B.o.B dropped his new, mixtape E.A.R.T.H., on Earth Day (April 22). Educational Avatar Reality Training Habitat features thematically clever song titles such as "Under the Dome," "Fkn' Science Bro," and "Dumb." Additionally, the new release includes a sequel to B.o.B's twitter-war hit "Flatline," a diss track aimed straight at Neil Degrasse Tyson.
The shot heard 'round the internet came from B.o.B's Twitter page when he insinuated that the Earth might actually be flat because there is no visible curve on the horizon. Naturally, chaos descended and reached an apex when when Tyson issued a counter-statement, and his own diss track.
Two diss tracks and many weeks later, we stand at the precipice of our flat earth with some new tunes waiting to greet us on the other side.
B.o.B plays the Loft on Thurs., June 23. $15-$20. 9 p.m. 1374 West Peachtree Street. 404-885-1365. www.centerstage-atlanta.com.
