Go Dreamer's escape from the 'Friend Zone'

ATL's resident 'Weerdo' releases new LP

Valentine's Day may have come and gone but Go Dreamer is still in the mood for love. The Hollyweerd co-founder, member of the Flush, and recent signee to Big Boi's Boom Boom Room Productions just released his latest solo project, Friend Zone. All recorded at Stankonia Studios, Friend Zone finds the self-proclaimed "Weerdo" fusing his eclectic mix of funk, rock, pop, dance, and hip-hop elements to tell the story of a hopeless romantic navigating that ever-frustrating relationship line many of us have tried to cross.

Go Dreamer handles all of the production duties with the exception of "Mood Swings," which was produced by Ray Murray of Organized Noize, and features that usual Dungeon Family funk. Being that Go Dreamer has been credited with spearheading the #NewAtlanta movement from a while back, it makes sense that his only feature is Raury, the city's latest eccentric musical wunderkind. At 11 tracks, Friend Zone might be Go Dreamer's best work to date, and shows the growth of a solo MC and producer on the rise. Check out the stream below, or buy it here.
