DJs Chris Devoe and Yoon Nam take a ‘Trip” into exotic music

Preparing a veritable smorgasbord of 60s and 70s Prog, Kraut, Psych, Afrobeat, funk, and soul from across the globe

If vibing out to wayfaring, aural curios is your bag, look no further than the Trip, a monthly DJ night curated by Chris Devoe and Yoon Nam. Hosted at the Sound Table, a fertile venue for testing bold and creatively themed nights such as Ramen Freak and Native, the Trip finds two versatile DJs sourcing their vinyl stacks for international sounds from the '60s and '70s.

Devoe is a veteran of Atlanta’s music scene, bridging the city’s underground hip-hop, indie, and experimental camps as a DJ and a member of Social Studies, Warsaw, and other projects. Nam is a longtime WRAS DJ, who hosts a number of specialty shows such as Blue Note, and launching the brilliant and globally-focused Jet Lag. Devoe and Nam will touch on a smorgasbord of Prog, Kraut, Psych, Afrobeat, funk, and soul, guaranteeing a night of exotic sounds.
