The “Two Dope Boyz” are coming home.

After trekking the country and making a stop in every city but Atlanta, OutKast have announced a show for the hometown fans. On Sat., Sept. 27, Big Boi and Andre 3000 will hit Centennial Olympic Park. The one-day festival, OutKast: ATLast, will feature an extended headlining set from the duo, as well a few special guests appearances. The music’s slated to start at 5 p.m.

The calls for OutKast to play an ATL show have grown louder since they first announced their 40-plus festival tour back in January. Arguably the biggest news to hit the city since the announcement of Major League Soccer’s arrival or the Braves exit, an ITP show by OutKast is the perfect way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut and overall legacy in music.

Sure, CounterPoint was close and awesome, but not close enough for the diehards. Let’s face it, these guys are “Straight Outta Stankonia,” and it’s about damn time the ATLiens phoned home.

Tickets will be available via radio and promoter presales at 10 a.m. on Mon., June 16, followed by the public onsale on Wed., June 18, at the same time. Prices you ask? $55 general admission, $105 Gold Circle, and $250 for VIP, including all applicable fees. You can purchase your tickets on the official show website, Ticketmaster, phone (800-745-8300), and the Center Stage box office.

Check back with Crib Notes in the coming weeks as more performers will be announced.
