‘Being Bobby Brown’ reality show was Whitney’s wake-up call, says Bobby

He says he’s also been off that narcotic since the show aired

Image As it turns out, we weren’t the only ones repulsed yet oddly infatuated with Bobby and Whitney’s short-lived Atlanta reality show, “Being Bobby Brown.”

In an interview with Matt Lauer on “Today,” Bobby Brown said the show that aired on Bravo in 2005, giving fans an all-too-revealing glimpse into their lives, also gave the couple a wake-up call.

“The reality show gave us a wake up because we were able to see what other people were saying about us,” Brown said on this morning’s show. “We were able to see that our drug use had affected our relationship, had affected the love that we felt for each other.”

Brown also said he’s been off that narcotic for seven years, which would’ve been right around the time the show finished airing. He also claims he wasn’t the one who introduced Whitney to hard drugs in the first place, rather it was the other way around. Judge for yourself in the video below:
