Olivia Tremor Control contribute new song to AUX complilation
AUX Vol. 2 is out Oct. 19, but you can get it early at a CD release show next week
?
This just in, in the kinda-news department: Pitchfork shits its pants over a new Olivia Tremor Control song. They've got a stream up, but I can't get the player to work - from the description, though, "North Term Reality" sounds more like oblique sound collage than "Transparent Dream."
?
Still, it's pretty cool to see new OTC floating around. Maybe they'll get they asses in gear and record a whole record? Probably not. Anyhow, the even cooler news relating to all this is that the compilation that will hold "North Term Reality," AUX Vol. 2, is out October 19. It's a super-limited run of 250 copies, so get yours early: the fantastic AUX will hold a release show next Thursday, September 30 at Athens' Little Kings Shuffle Club, featuring live performances by members of Olivia Tremor Control, Dark Meat, Pylon and other such luminaries. AUX does a great deal to help keep experimental music alive and thriving in our area, so check 'em out if you haven't yet.
