Noise Porn: A very freaky worldview (photos and review)

On Thursday night, Kendrick Daye's online publication Art Nouveau threw a release party for the first compilation issued from the Nouveau Music label. The mixtape, Noise Porn, brings together local R&B, hip-hop, rock, and electronica artists.
?
Resembling a native Indian of some sort, collegiate socialite and musical artist Zamir Green hosted the freaky gathering, at Marietta Street's Studio 1-5-0, which included sets from several artists performing songs off the compilation.
?
First to the stage was New York native Sye Spence. The vocalist sported a sexy, black leather bustier and skirt as she dominated the crowd. She performed the Noise Porn cut "Back," and "American Dream" from her upcoming summer EP Mad Mad World. Her voice is phenomenal and she was quite the looker to start the show off. Next up came Macon's own Al K!ng, who performed at last month's Perfect Attendance showcase at 529. He performed "Arts and Crafts" and "Came From Outer Space" from his summer 2009 EP Phantom of the Art Gallery and then went into his Noise Porn collaboration "Higher" with rock singer and guitarist Ben Carson. Other newcomers that hit the stage included Guy Anthony, Nemo, and my Nigerian family NAIRA (Nigerian American I Rep Africa).

The night's anticipation subsided when a sexy witch in black lace walked onto the all-white performance area with a guitar in her left hand and a bottle of liquor in her right. theDolldaze had arrived. After beginning with her "Please Everybody" intro, she shouted: "Well you can't please everybody, so fuck it! Let it blow!" The crowd jumped to her guitar riffs and sang along to "Let It Blow" and "The Hard Way", both songs from her Acid Report: The Missing Peace mixtape. She concluded with her Noise Porn solo "Illuminate the Sky." By the time her set ended, she was on the floor with her hands in the air. Who can top that?
