NOTED ACTS

P.A.L, KLANGSTABIL, THE NOIZGUILD PROJECT — Remember when industrial music denoted something other than wimpy Depeche Mode soundalikes? The folks from the German-based Ant-Zen label sure do. They’ve organized a dandy tour package scheduled to make its only Southeastern stop in town. The prolific P.A.L alternate distorted rhythmic textures with dark, ambient noisecapes. On their latest relase, Sprite Storage Format, Klangstabil solely manipulate Nintendo Gameboy sounds to jarring effect. WWIV recording artists the Noizguild Project round out the bill.
