Father of boy featured in CL story now in jail

A man accused of raping his son — who later began writing about his experience to help other kids in similar straits — is in Fulton County Jail after his arrest last month.
Wesley White, 31, of Anniston, S.C., remained in the Fulton County Jail earlier this week, held without bond on charges of aggravated child molestation, statutory rape and incest, all felonies, says East Point Police Maj. Luther Graham. White was arrested in October, Graham says.
White’s son, Tavares Robinson, began writing pamphlets about his ordeal soon after the alleged attack in May. Tavares says he wants to encourage other kids to tell someone when they are molested or abused.
CL featured his story in its Aug. 19 issue and learned that East Point police misplaced a file on the incident. Detectives began work on the case after a reporter called about the matter.
