Instead of bar hopping yourself into a drunken stupor, Gallery Hop! through downtown Lexington's galleries, shops, museums and studios Feb. 15. The Hunt-Morgan Carriage House Gallery will celebrate Black History Month with an exhibit titled The African-American Presence in the Architecture and Cultural Landscape of Lexington and Beyond in the 18th, 19th and Early 20th Century. Included in the exhibit are three African-American churches, and a brief history and photographic survey of the Shotgun House. Visitors can pick up a map at ArtsPlace, 161 N. Where can you find Tail Dragger, Honeyboy and Shrimp City Slim Feb. 8-17? At the 12th annual Budweiser Lowcountry Blues Bash 2002, of course. Similar to Atlanta's Music Midtown, the blues music fest hosts blues greats such as the aforementioned musicians as well as Bob Malone, Juke Joint Johnny and Atlanta's own Sean Costello and Beverly "Guitar" Watkins.
