A HOMELESS MAN said he went to a bar on Spring Street while he was high on meth and GHB. He said he left the club to have a “three-way” with some friends and do more meth. Then, he left his friends to walk to another friend’s house. Along the way, the homeless man was approached by a man in a car. The man asked him if he wanted to party. The homeless man agreed to party. Then the man (described only as “a queer”) threw the homeless man over a fence, dragged him under a house, and tied him up. The homeless man could not describe the man — not even his race. The homeless man had minor scrapes on his arms and legs, but no serious injuries. The homeless man said he was not sexually assaulted, even though he passed out repeatedly during the incident. Also, the homeless man couldn’t provide enough information to find the place where he was tied up.

A WOMAN WAS ASLEEP in her apartment on Maynard Court. She woke up and noticed a burning sock. Someone had lit a sock on fire and set it on her window ledge outside her apartment. Police arrived and found a burnt sock on the ground near her apartment. There were no injuries from the sock-burning. An officer wrote, “It is unknown who lit the sock on fire or why.” Investigation continues on the burning sock.

ON AURORA AVENUE, a woman said her boyfriend showed up at her house in a calm state of mind. But after he smoked marijuana and drank some liquor, he got real paranoid. He started putting tables and chairs in front of the door. He said someone was in the house, trying to kill him and trying to set him up. A police officer arrived. The officer wrote, “I observed [the man] in a paranoid state of mind, afraid to exit the home, talking in circles, eyes very wide, thick white spit in the corners of his mouth, stating he is going to kill them before they kill him.” The man said he had been to Grady Memorial Hospital before for this same type of situation. Police took the man to Grady’s psychiatric ward.

AN OFFICER was sent to an apartment on Fairfield Place to deal with a dispute. A 61-year-old said he was standing in the kitchen when he heard a noise. Then, he noticed that his neighbor — known as “Youngblood” — was standing there. The 61-year-old said his neighbor attacked him and said, “I heard something.” The 61-year-old said his neighbor talks about hearing voices all the time, but has never physically harmed anyone. He said the neighbor was a Vietnam veteran and can “go off the deep end” sometimes. After attacking him, the neighbor went back to his apartment. The 61-year-old had blood on his T-shirt and his lip was burst. He said his neighbor has a crew cut and owns a machete.

AT A PARKING DECK on Spring Street, an employee asked a bearded man to leave several times; the man refused to go. A police officer arrived and asked the man why he wouldn’t go. The man said, “I’m a veteran and I don’t have any place to go.” The officer suggested that the man go to a shelter. The man replied, “I don’t stay in shelters.” The officer told the man couldn’t set up a residence in the parking deck, but the man kept refusing to go. So the man, age 34, was arrested for trespassing.

A MAN FROM ALBANY parked his Ford pickup truck outside a hotel on Spring Street. The next day, when he returned to the truck, he noticed that someone had broken in. Someone had pulled out the door lock on the truck. The only items reported missing: one pair of black leather dress shoes.

AROUND 3 A.M., a 26-year-old man returned to his apartment on Lenox Road. He noticed that someone had broken in through a window in his room. There was glass all over the floor. Items missing: seven pairs of gym shoes, and one Swedish gym bag. The man said he had renter’s insurance.

A NORCROSS MAN said he was eating dinner at a Mexican restaurant on Peachtree Road. When he bit into an olive, he chipped his tooth. He filed a police report, but refused medical treatment.

A WOMAN FROM BRUNSWICK was visiting Underground Atlanta. She went to the restroom and sat down on the toilet. As she sat, she put her purse on the floor. She said a woman reached under her stall and stole her purse, and ran out of the restroom. Her purse contained her blood pressure pills and her Greyhound bus ticket back to Brunswick.

ON CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK DRIVE, a 42-year-old woman said a Norcross man came to her apartment to change clothes. When he found another man inside her apartment, he got angry. He called her a “whore” and said she was sucking dick for crack. The woman called police to her house, but said she didn’t want the man arrested; she just wanted him to leave. But police arrested the man for disorderly conduct and gave him a trespassing warning.
