Not just tequila at Agave: Agave branches out with a four-course Alexander Valley Vineyards wine dinner featuring a Chardonnay, a Gerwurtztraminer, a Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Zinfandel paired with oysters, shrimp margarita salad, ribeye and jumbo scallops over a spicy arbol chile tomato puree with Yukon gold smashed potatoes and asparagus, and a peanut butter mousse pie respectively. $55 per person. Which way does the Wente blow?: Toward City Grill, which hosts a wine dinner with Carolyn Wente, owner of Wente Vineyards, Mon., Nov. 5.
