NOW THAT’S ITALIAN, AT ENO: Eno commemorates the festive wines of Italy by hosting a Wines of Italy With Antipasti tasting Wed., Nov. 14, 6-9 p.m. Italian wines accompanied by savory antipasti will be the focus of the evening. Prices are $6.50 per glass and $3.50 per plate. LET’S TALK TURKEY: Atlantic Star, a French-inspired American brasserie located in a former ice and coal house in Decatur, hosts wine tastings every Tuesday 6-8 p.m. On Nov. 13, stop in for Perfect Wines for Thanksgiving, tips on what to serve with that big bird. UP ON THE ROOF: Nikolai’s Roof joins forces with the Feraud Family from the Domaine du Pegau in Chateauneuf-du-Pape to offer an exquisite winemaker dinner Fri., Nov. 30. Laurence Feraud hosts the evening and presents rare and unique wines she has created in the past decade, including the Single Vineyard Cuvee Justine, which has never before been presented in the United States. Chef de Cuisine Johannes Klapdohr prepares the evening’s seven-course dinner. This is a rare opportunity to share several incomparable vintages from the cellar of Domaine du Pegau (including 1990, 1995, 1998 and Single Vineyard De Capo 1998) coupled with the stellar cuisine of Nikolai’s Roof. $190 per person. GETTING CHILE IN ATLANTA: Debuting recently at WineSouth, and continuing its push at the Chefs w/Out Hats Disco Inferno Tour weeks ago, MorandeUSA, a Kennesaw-based Chilean wine importer of Viña Morande wines, introduced some delicious and affordable wines. Among them, the peppery, smoky Pionero Syrah ($9) is a great value and can be found at Ansley Wine Merchants in Ansley Mall. AT THE FOOD STUDIO: Half-off bottled wine! We did a double-take when we saw the announcement for half-price bottled wine at the Food Studio. Receive half off all bottled wines Sundays and Mondays! Final fall wine dinner. The Food Studio closes its fall wine dinners Wed., Nov. 14 with Robert Mondavi Reserve wines.
