See & Do - Film: Italian Film Festival April 24 2009
Wed., April 29
Italy’s latest and greatest exports – not including delicious foodstuffs like espresso, prosciutto and Food Network darling Giada De Laurentiis – travel to Atlanta for the ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL. The Miami-based fest has partnered with Georgia State University to bring four Italian films to the Rialto Center for the Arts, including Parlami d’Amore (Talk to Me About Love), the coming-of-age story of Sasha, a twentysomething who grows up in a drug rehab center with his addict parents; and Prendimi l’anima (The Soul Keeper), which plunges into the murky depths of Freudian psychoanalysis through the treatment of a young Russian girl, Sabina, and the resulting adulterous affair with her doctor, a fellow by the name of Carl Gustav Jung. See website for complete film list. Through May 1. Free. Wed.-Fri., 8 p.m. 80 Forsyth St. 404-651-4727. www.cinemaitaly.com.
