The AJC DECATUR BOOK FESTIVAL, now in its third year, will deliver about 225 national and local best-selling authors to the city's historic downtown area, continuing Sun., AUG. 31. Events will include book signings, readings, live music and poetry, and – every writer's favorite – beer and wine vendors. It's worth mentioning that former beat poet and New Jersey Poet Laureate Amiri Baraka will be around all weekend. Through Aug. 31. Free.
