Dish, Dirt and Drivel - That Good Ol’ Southern Grub

TV TALK: Though they said they’d never replace her, it looks like T-Boz and Chilli are doing just that. The two remaining members of Atlanta-based TLC (Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez was killed in a car crash) were in town Saturday at an open audition for the reality show “R U the Girl with T-Boz & Chilli,” which will air on UPN. The series will follow the divas as they search for the lucky lady to join them in the studio.

MEDIA TALK: From Ben and Jen to Brad and Jen ... to Rush and Daryn? Now that Rush Limbaugh’s divorce from his third wife is official, talk of wedding No. 4 is rampant. The ultra-conservative radio talk show host has been dating CNN anchor Daryn Kagan, known to be a - gasp - liberal. Here’s to the future Limbaughs keeping their noses clean; how awkward a position Kagan would be in if forced to report on her own marriage.

RESTAURANT TALK: Remember Brittany Murphy from the movie Clueless? No? Remember Brittany Murphy from the warehouse sex scene with Eminem in 8 Mile? Oh, yeah. The once plump but now shrunk actress visited Atlanta (her birthplace) last week and dined at South City Kitchen. As of press time, no one at the restaurant could tell me what the rail-thin actress had on her plate, but we all know how the “I know I’m emaciated but I eat!” actresses are known to order a heaping helping.

BAND TALK: The list of Atlanta bands that will perform during the premier music conference South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, is growing. Singer/songwriter David Berkeley, the Black Lips, Copeland, blues man Sean Costello, the Forty-Fives, Caroline Herring, Hot Young Priest, the Letters Organize, Lilitu, Magnapop (as previously reported), Nashville Pussy, the Queers, Samadha, and the Woggles all have been confirmed for the March event. A bunch of Athens-based bands also will be at SXSW, including the much touted but yet unsigned the Whigs.
