TerraPerma benefit at WonderRoot Dec. 5

Atlanta is really trying to jump on the green bandwagon.

Newly formed TerraPerma is a fledgling grassroots organization trying to promote sustainability and consciousness in Atlanta — no small task when you consider oppositional factors such as the lack of public transit and rampant suburban sprawl. Taking a somewhat alternative approach, TerraPerma's mission statement outlines its view that strengthening local involvement and community interaction is crucial for building the eco-friendly city of our dreams.

WonderRoot, known supporters of community engagement, hosts a music and art show benefit for TerraPerma. Featuring the artwork of Jeremy Spafford and the musical talents of natives Trapper’s Cabin and Aviva and the Flying Penguins, the event will introduce TerraPerma as Atlanta’s newest environmentally progressive endeavor.

Suggested donation $5. Dec. 5, 9 p.m. WonderRoot, 982 Memorial Drive. 404-254-5955. www.wonderroot.org.
