  • WOMEN ON THE VERGE: Zoetic Dance Ensemble performed “Occupied” behind glass for the FLUX night of public art in late September. Their new piece “Undone” takes place at Fabrefaction Theatre from Thursday to Saturday, October 13-15.

What to do after you’ve been Occupied? Come Undone, of course.

The dancers of Zoetic Dance Ensemble, who recently performed their piece Occupied as a part of the FLUX night of public art, will premiere their new work Undone at Fabrefaction Theatre, October 13-15. The hour-long piece continues the group’s collaboration with New York performance artist ChristinaNoel Reaves, who explores the use of vocalization paired with movement. Undone, which features live music throughout the show, opens with a cover of Loretta Lynn’s “Women’s Prison” and closes with Kate Nash’s “Dickhead,” with a stop for a Beethoven sonata and other pieces along the way. The show explores the aspects of our emotional lives that feel perpetually unfinished and “the human need to resolve things that by their nature remain undone.” A concert pre-show will present pieces of Occupied, recreated for the Fabrefaction space.

Undone takes place at Fabrefaction Theatre, 999 Brady Avenue in West Midtown, on Thursday and Friday, October 13-14, at 8 pm and Saturday, October 15 at 8 and 10 pm. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $12 for students and working artists. For more information or to purchase tickets visit Zoetic.
