Drive-in shooting victim said to have interrupted suspect during sex
Suspect Quentric Williams appeared in court yesterday

When National Guardsman and martial arts expert Mitt Lenix made the ill-fated decision to approach another car at Starlight Drive-In for help with his own vehicle, investigators say he inadvertently disrupted a couple about to have sex - and was shot and killed for the mistake.
Quentric Williams, Lenix's alleged shooter, was in court yesterday in DeKalb County for a probably cause hearing. At the hearing, DeKalb police officer went over testimony given by Williams' girlfriend Angel Thomas. According to the officer, Thomas said that the movie they were watching was boring, so they decided to have sex. Then Lenix approached. And Williams reportedly shot him through the window.
Apparently, both were in a state of partial or total undress, and put clothes on as they led police on a chase into Gwinnett County. Thomas also told police Williams had handed her nearly $10,000 in cash as they drove, and tossed another $10,000 out the window of the truck (the money was never recovered - or if it was, no one reported it). Williams sustained a hand injury when he wrecked his truck, and was apprehended at a Gwinnett County motel after being treated at a walk-in clinic. Money, drugs, and a gun were reportedly found inside the motel room.
Another gun - believed to be the murder weapon - was found inside the truck Williams abandoned after the crash, and WSB-TV interviewed a man who found a gun in his yard which police believed also belonged to Williams.
A memorial fund that was established in Lenix's memory by the "Starlight Drive-In Family" in the wake of the shooting has raised $12,900 as of today. Williams is charged with murder, simple assault, and obstructing law enforcement.
