Ponce City Market fly-through video offers a glimpse inside the development

With less than one year to go until Ponce City Market is expected to open, Jamestown Properties has continued to reveal little tidbits about how it will convert City Hall East into a mixed-used megaplex of apartments, restaurants, shops, and offices.

Now there's a 3-D video that takes us inside what the PCM's lower levels might look like. The market's main entrance leads to an open-air space filled with lots of tabled seating and natural light that shines down onto sauntering passersby. Some of the current shops in the fly-through include salons, coffee shops, organic clothing retailers, sandwich bars, and candy stores.

Past the market's main area lies a separate wing with a two-story hall lined with large white columns, exposed steel beams, more shops, and clothing stores. In another part of the building that's adjacent to the lower parking deck, brick and marble walls adorn the hallways leading to more luxurious offices with large glass facades, large IKEA-esque art on the walls, and lots of professional workers.

Few of the actual retailers have been confirmed and publicized so far. Here's what we do know: In addition to the Dancing Goats Coffee Bar that's already open, there could be a Shake Shack and a project by Bacchanalia's Anna Quatrano. In addition, a Suzuki School and health tech firm will also fill office space in the building.

PCM is still on schedule to open in the earlier parts of 2014.
