Whaaat! Georgia officials forgot to send Lil Jon an absentee ballot (Update)

So he’s flying back to metro Atlanta to vote

Atlanta rapper Lil Jon has been extremely active this year trying to get voters out to the polls. He’s taken part in a major Rock The Vote PSA, which was appropriately accompanied by the #TURNOUTFORWHAT hashtag, and has encouraged fans to cast ballots today.

But apparently Georgia officials forgot to send Lil Jon an absentee ballot. According to an Instagram post, he decided to take a 6 a.m. flight back to Atlanta to pick up his Georgia peach voter sticker. He’s not too pleased:

6AM FLIGHT TO ATL TO VOTE BECAUSE GA NEVA SENT MY BALLOT AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS!!! U CANT DISCOURAGE ME! #VOTETODAY @TURNOUTFORWHAT #ROCKTHEVOTE

Earlier this afternoon, Fulton County Director of Registration and Elections Richard Barron tells reporters that officials had mailed Lil Jon an absentee ballot on Oct. 27, three days after receiving his voter application. Fulton officials did not receive phone calls from Lil Jon, Barron noted.

We’re told he’ll be voting up in Alpharetta once he arrives and might have some choice words for election officials.

UPDATE: 3:21 p.m.: Fear not, Lil Jon fans! The rapper finally made it across the country to vote in Alpharetta. He just posted an update to show off his peach sticker:

JUST GOT DONE VOTING #ROCKTHEVOTE #TURNOUTFORWHAT
