New multi-disciplinary art show has heart

Multi-disciplinary art show Heart Space dedicates an explorative evening to the physical and emotional space around the heart. Choreographers Leah Boresaw (above, top) and Christen Sewell Weimer (above, bottom), both Atlanta natives (important trivia: Weimer is so ATL all day, she appears in OutKast’s “Trans DF Express” video), are among those scheduled to present new work. Ambient sound artist Paul Stevens (Grand Vapids, Chamber Cartel) and Athens-based visual artist Melissa Lee will also perform. A portion of the evening’s donation-based proceeds will benefit Wellspring Living, a nonprofit providing support to girls and women surviving sexual abuse and exploitation.
