First Slice 9/5/12: Michelle Obama's dress to accept the democratic nomination

I apologize in advance for saying 'fashion erection'

1. I have no idea what Michelle Obama said during her speech at the DNC last night because DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE WAS WEARING? The First Lady's Tracy Reese dress sure was a hit. Look. CNN can hardly contain its fashion erection: "Obama lit up the arena in a luminescent rosy pink dress with grey floral detailing. Perhaps the most physically fit of all the first ladies, she showed off her toned arms and shoulders in the sleeveless cut frock, with just a sliver of her back through a small key hole. The full knee-length skirt had an easy element of movement as she approached the podium." It really was a pretty dress.

2. Some people leave things like ice cube trays and curtain rods as a courtesy when they move out of an apartment (you're welcome, new resident of my former Briarcliff Road apartment). Other people leave fetuses.

3. A new historical marker outside Macon memorializes an Allman Brothers-Jimi Hendrix concert that took place at Byron Raceway in 1970. Civil war battle sites, eat your hearts out. Also, local baby boomers report suddenly feeling extremely old.

4. Alabama restaurant workers fired via text. See if you can figure out this boss's rationale.
